New Years Resolutions

I know it is a few days past the new year but I have just now been thinking about what I want to accomplish this year. So in looking to the future I have been reflecting over this last year. So many things changed in the year 2005. Most for the good and some for the not so wonderful. All I can say is it was not what I expected at all.
Here is a short synopsis of the life of Kelly in 2005.
  • Met a new friend named Jimmie in January.
  • Had short laps of judgment and did the whole online dating thing. Talked to a guy for about a month but then decided that just wasn't for me.
  • Decided to lose some weight so Shawna and I signed up for LA Weightloss.
  • Met Ernie who is Jimmie's dad and decided to work at Life Source for the summer with their Kids day camp.
  • My friends Kimberly and David finally got married!
  • The School District didn't pass their Milage tax so decided to cut back by messing with the Elementary Music Teacher Schedules. (This drug out until the end of July!!)
  • Shawna started dating Jason and 8 weeks later was engaged. In the process forgetting she had a best friend who was still single.
  • Worked at life source for the summer with 30 1st through 6th graders. I loved them so much I am now the director for next summer.
  • Went to Disney World with my family. That was Awesome!!
  • Went to Honduras on a Mission Trip. Jimmie lives down there so I got to visit with him too.
  • Started working at two schools instead of one which was an awesome change. More work but I love my new school.
  • Shawna informed me that she was moving to Foreman instead of moving into the new house with me. Which was good and bad.
  • Moved into Tim and Lindsay's house and they left the country a month later. That was sad but exciting for them at the same time.
  • Then Shawna wrote me a letter and told me that I was no longer her Maid of Honor because I wasn't supportive enough for her. So a close friendship ended in a not so good way.
  • Lost 67 pounds this year and am feeling great!!

So in conclusion though there were some bad times this year the good times out weigh the bad by quite a bit. So I would say 2005 was stressful but good.

So on to 2006. This year my job is up in the air already. I am hoping to be able to change school districts but I might have to move so we will see. I will get to my goal weight this year. I have another 70 pounds to lose. I think the biggest change is going to be working on getting out of debt. It won't be easy but losing weight hasn't been easy either. I know that I can to all things through Christ who gives me strength. And in good times and bad times I have to rejoice because I know that the Lord is bringing me through each day!
