Well it has taken a few days to recover from the wonderful Black Friday experience. Now all that is hurting is my bank account. But I just love giving gifts. I would rather go with out just to put a smile on someone's face. My dad is the one that I have the most fun shopping for because it is a challenge. I always want to get something he will actually use for more than just one day.
This is my favorite time of year as well. I set up my Christmas Tree yesterday and I am thinking about doing outside lights however I can't do them by myself and right now I don't know anyone else who could help me. One down fall to living by yourself, there are things that just take at least two people.
As unusual during this time everything gets so busy and hectic. But we always need to remember the reason for the season. The celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Savior who came as a little baby, born into poverty, and humility. It takes my breath away to think that the Savior of the World was once a newborn baby. My niece was born last December and seeing her so small and tiny really made the Christmas story come to life. God could have chosen to come in a big procession or be born into a place of power but he didn't. He came as a little baby to a family that was not rich and famous. He came into this world in the same manner he approaches each and every one of us, tenderly and gently.
