I am so excited. I just heard that there is going to be a Fraggle Rock movie made with the actual puppets and not CGI! It is going to be awesome. I have always loved Fraggle Rock and even use one episode in my classroom to teach counter Melodies. You can read more about it here.

A Mixed Up Bunch!!

So today I took a fun little quiz that determaines your theological worldview. I ended up tieing in three of the catagories. And actually it is very accurate of my worldview. I was just thinking today of how I love the non-traditional worship and freedom for the movement of the Holy Spirit in my church. However, on days like Easter and Christmas I miss the formality of a traditional church.

Okay tonight I was on a mission to find music that I could use for a Self Contained Special Ed class that I teach. Most of the kids are very low functioning but respond well to music. So I decided to get on Rhapsody (the best resource for a music teacher in the world) and see what I could find. So I looked at Raffi and the Wiggles but wasn't so impressed so I decided to see if I might be able to use something from Veggie Tales. I know most of their stuff has a Christian theme and I can't use that in the public school but I thought some of the silly songs might work.

To my surprise Big Idea has just released a CD in August called Bob and Larry Sing the 70's. It is was of the best CD's I have found that is entertaining and fun for kids of all ages. It has songs like Locomotion, Funky Town, and one of my all time favorites Crocodile Rock. I will be using all of the songs from this CD at some point during the school year and I can guarantee that this CD will also be playing in my car for a while as well.

I am also excited about the fact Veggie Tales is going to be on Saturday Morning cartoons. Starting this Saturday at 9:00 am central Time Bob and Larry will be making their Saturday morning debut on NBC. I have already set my DVR to record the entire series. 3 2 1 Penguins will be joining them as well. I actually haven't ever watched a 3 2 1 Penguins episode so I am excited to have that chance as well.
