Okay today is just a big post kind of day. I think that is because I am just avoiding doing my lesson plans which I need to get busy on. But I just had to drop a few lines about how this is my second most favorite time of the year. Christmas is my favorite but when we get into the harvest time it is my second favorite. Kind of like an opening act I guess. Tonight we had a hayride and pumpkin cariving contest at our church. Even though there were about three times as many kids than adults it was still great fun. I have to say I was very impressed by the pumpkin carving skills of our church members. Although most of them were done by patterns. What happened to the good old days when your pumpkin might have looked aweful but it was an orignal drawn by your own hand.
