A First Time for Everything!

This has been a week of firsts for me.
  • Bought my first piece of jewelry from an actual jewelry store
  • Went by myself to a concert (Jeremy Camp was awesome!)
  • Went to a local fruit farm I had been wanting to visit
  • Made up my own recipe for Peach Cobbler and it was really good (my roommate even said so)
  • And to top it all off I went Latin Dancing

The dancing was an interesting experience. I went with my roommate and we are very different looking, she is Asian, tall, thin, and straight. I on the other hand am White, short, medium build, and curvy. She warned me that I would be asked to dance more than she would because the way I look is more appealing to the men there than hers was. And she was right I was asked to dance many times through out the evening and she was only asked twice. Of course she was the one who ended up meeting a guy and getting asked on a date tomorrow night. I thought it was quite funny!

I guess one big thing I can say loosing 100 pounds has done is it has given me more confidence to go out and try new things. I still get nervous to do things on my own but I am learning more and more to enjoy the moments I have to myself and all the new experiences I am having.
