Divine Humor

God has a since of humor. I know he does because of the events that have unfolded the last few days at my house.

Friday the toilet in the front bathroom wasn't flushing very well. It would fill up and then go down but not with the usual force. Then on Saturday the other toilet started doing the exact same thing. I really didn't want to call the plumber but by Sunday morning it was taking like 5 minutes for the toilet to drain and it was taking nothing with it. So needless to say because of that my roommates and I agreed that we would try our hardest to poo elsewhere so we wouldn't stink up the house before the plumber came. It was very strange trying to make sure that you pooed before you came home, especially since I really hate using public bathrooms.

All that to say on Monday I decided to take today off and call the plumber to come and see what was happening. So I stayed for 3 hours after school getting substitute plans ready. I got home and tried to flush the toilet again and it was doing the same thing. I was all ready to have to sit around the house all day waiting, dreading how much it was going to cost, and praying it wasn't a septic tank problem.

I don't know what possessed me but I decided to try the toilet one more time before I went to bed at 11:00. I had already arranged to be off today and the substitute position was filled so I good to go. And low and behold the toilet flushed just fine. So just to make sure it wasn't a fluke I flushed it again, then went and tried the other toilet and flushed it 3 times. So what ever it was got miraculously fixed before I called the plumber.

I don't think any thing is coincidence, and honestly I don't know why God choose to fix the toilet. Maybe he wanted me to stay home today for some strange reason. And you know I don't know why God fixed a toilet and doesn't answer other prayers the way we want him to. All I know is that it a blessing and because I was at home I got to talk to a friend I haven't seen in about 6 months.
