Change, Change, Change!

This has been one of the wildest weeks of my life!! I can't believe how much has changed in the last 7 days. God always surprises us and yet his timing is perfect.

So the change started last weekend. The first big change was an answer to my prayer about where to go to church. I had gone to Grace on Sunday morning and was really torn about where to go to church (see previous post Torn). So I prayed and basically told God that I really wanted a place that was passionate about worship and prayer. I really wanted to be in a place that if I felt the urge to sing what was on my heart no one would throw a fit and think that I was disturbing their worship time. Sunday night I went to Regeneration Church, a brand new church in Fayetteville. I had been there a few times before and really enjoyed it but wasn't sure if that was where God had me. That night during worship I really felt like singing what was on my heart but was doing it quietly under my breath. The all of the sudden the pastor started singing out then the entire church (all 20 of us) started singing from their hearts. It was so freeing. And in that moment I knew that was God's gift to me and his way of telling me "This is the church I want you to be a part of." So big change number one is a brand new church.

Then comes big change number two. This change was actually beginning on Friday night that week when I had thought I had been stood up for a date I was supposed to have that night. In the process of being ticked off about that date I got an e-mail from someone else that I found intriguing, he name is John. So that night we e-mailed back and forth several times and ended up setting up a date for Thursday night the next week. Throughout the weekend we e-mailed several times and then on Sunday we even IM'd for a while. I was beginning to really like this guy and looking forward to meeting him on Thursday.

Monday ended up starting off as a nightmare. It was one of those days where I didn't ever want to see another child again. But the day ended differently (see previous post). John was the friend I had meet that night. After that first date I was looking forward to Thursday night even more. It was hard to believe that I had met such a wonderful guy and we had so much in common, even the same hometown.

Tuesday I was completely surprised because John texted me and asked to see if we could get together that night. I said I was free and we were going to meet at 8. Then my good friend Amy called and even though I wanted to go with John really badly, I have always said I wouldn't put a guy over my friends. So I called him to tell him I had to change plans and he was so totally sweet about it all and told me I should go with her since I could see him anytime I wanted to.

Since he was so incredibly sweet I asked him what he was doing Wednesday night as well. We met up at Braums and then went to Common Grounds. We talked for several hours and then the big changed occurred. Here is the events in John's words.

Scene: After a long day at work, we are in a romantic, cozy, restaurant in Fayetteville. Kelly and I are setting a table conversing.
Me, "So Kelly, you're such a great person. I would really like to date you. Can I call you my gir-"
Waiter, "Hey how's things going here?!"
Me, [long sigh]
Kelly, "Yes"

So needless to say by Thursday night, our original first planned first date we had already decided that this was worth pursuing more. So needless to say I now have a boyfriend. It seems odd to say that still since everything happened so quickly. It all seems a bit like a dream but if it is a dream right now I don't want to wake up.

So needless to say this week had BIG, BIG CHANGES!!!
