- Boy meets Girl
- Boy asks to date Girl
- Girls says Yes
- Boy and Girl date for a week and a half
- Girl decides this isn't going to work and contemplates how to end it all
- Boy e-mails girl and saves her the trouble by breaking up with her first
So if you didn't catch it John and I ended our relationship today. This goes in the Kelly Record Book for shortest relationship I have ever been in. The break-up was mutual, though I was ticked at the fact that he e-mailed me and didn't do it in person. Though he did redeem himself by calling me back and explained that he didn't want either one of us to drive 30 minutes when we both knew what the outcome was going to be. So I am over being ticked now.
You may be wondering the reason why everything went down the way it did. Honestly I am glad that we started dating quickly because I think it allowed us to have some conversations that may have taken longer to occur if we didn't. Dating is about getting to know each other and seeing if you are headed in the same direction or not. John and I were not and we found out quickly. I have nothing bad to say about him, he is a wonderful guy and will make some girl very happy someday, he just isn't the one for me.
So the search continues. God is in control and I love that he orchestrates everything and has given me eyes to see clearly his glory and his beauty. And like everything we learn from our relationships we are in, in this relationship I realized that if a guy doesn't see Jesus as their passionate lover as I do they are never going to fully understand who I am and where my life is headed.
God is so Good!!!
