Encounter!

Tonight Kathy and I went to Encounter again. If any of you are in Fayetteville Friday nights I would highly recommend spending a few hours there in worship. They meet at the New Heights Church offices from 8 to 11. It is just an amazing time of worship where you can be in the presence of God and sit at his feet.

As I was sitting there tonight it was almost like I was re-living my life from 4-5 years ago at the Train Depot. We would worship for hours every Friday and Saturday night. Plus there were several people at Encounter that were part of the worship at the Train Depot too. As I pondered over the amazing intimacy that I experienced with God those years I realized that I don't want to go back there. Quite the contrary I want to move forward. I want to go deeper, to an even more intimate place with God. I want to glimpse His beauty and know His glory in ways I could never imagine.

If you can't get to Fayetteville on Friday nights, I am part of a group that does a similar thing on Saturday nights in Bella Vista. We meet at The Gathering Place, a pretty new local church. My team sings from 6-8 and we just added another team that goes from 8-10. Though I won't be there this Saturday, sorry JoAnna and Christy. I am going home to see my mom for Mother's Day!

I want to encourage you all to set aside time from your busy weekend schedule to really seek after the heart of God. I have found it is the best way to renew my heart and my mind. It also helps to release all of the worries and cares that have built up over the week and just to hand them over to the Lord.
