Panic Attack!!!!

What does a stage, sound system, and 110 kindergartners equal? TOTAL CHAOS!!!!

Tomorrow night is the Kindergarten Celebration in which they perform a little musical and then we watch a 30 minute video that they made out what they want to be when they grow up. It is all really cute for the parents but an absolute nightmare for me. Okay so really I think they are absolutely adorable but when they still don't know their parts and they can't be quite long enough to actually get the speaking parts said, I start to panic!!

Of course I had another fiasco that added to the panic. A dad of one of my students graciously volunteered to make the costumes for the main characters. He used to design Broadway costumes when they lived in New York. He ended up having to go to New York on business and shipped the costumes to me. I was supposed to receive them last week but they didn't get here until today about noon. They are incredibly adorable however, I realized that two were missing. And one of those belonged to a parent who was coming to pick it up right after school. So I explained that since I told them their costumes would be made I would make them tonight and have them tomorrow.

Needless to say after work I ran to Hobby Lobby, spent 30 bucks, and got to work. I was actually quite amazed at how cute they turned out. Of course I sort of had a starting place because I made them in the same style as the other costumes but I am still impressed with myself. Though I think the most amazing part is I managed to make them both in about an hour. So I had to put pictures of them on here so that you could share in accomplishment as well.

A "Tune-a" fish!
A "Star" fish!

Kelly I have this funny feeling that one of these days I'm going to read a post from you that says "Well, today I managed to organize my 10,000 kindergarteners into performing the concert for the president on time, even though the buses broke down and we had a typhoon that sort of slowed us down a tiny bit".

Kelly: Superwoman for Christ!

(Hope you get some rest, the kids want a healthy rested teacher too!)

:)

Thanks for the vote of confidence however 110 kindergarteners is crazy. If I had to deal with 10,000 I would have to be commited!!

Glad it's you doing this and not me. ;-) Truthfully speaking though, kudos to you! I'd have been complaining up a storm. Doing programs are definitely not my passion. I don't mind being a "pawn" in a production but definitely not the mastermind behind it.

Cute costumes too... "here fishy fishy" says Boaz hehe

I enjoyed grilled pink king salmon tonight, 3 plates, with white rice, salad and perfectly yummy asparagus. Sammy the cook (from Laos) is truly a fine chef, and did a great job. I've only had fine salmon once before long ago, so I figured to mention it to you and MC. Once in a while, God really does deliver little miracles, in this case unexpectedly.
