Nieces and Nephews

Today I read an article from Christian Singles Today on how there is a special connection between single aunts/uncles and their nieces and nephews. I find this to be so true. My nieces and nephews are what I get to brag about when I am sitting with a group of moms. I love them like they are my own and yet don't have the responsibility that comes along with them. I think being a Single Aunt makes me appreciate the little ones more than if I had my own kids. I don't mind the occasional diaper change or bath. I think it is kind of cute when they want to stay up and play with Aunt Kelly instead of going to bed, I don't see that every night is a struggle to put them to bed it's not just because I am there. I don't take every chance I can spend with them for granted. They are a part of who I am, a part of my heart belongs to each and everyone. I treasure the moments I get to spend with them, I know that when I have my own kids I won't be able to have such a close relationship with them.

Here is a picture of my nieces just because they are cute!Were were setting up the Christmas tree at my sisters house and they decided to help. What is it with kids and their fascination with boxes?
