Greetings from my 2 year old niece Kallie. She decided she needed to help her Aunt Kelly type. Today was her 2nd birthday party. It was a Curious George party. She is totally in love with him for some reason.

I always find little kids parties quite funny. There are always five times as many adults as children. And I think we get more of a kick out of the whole thing than the child does. I also think that 2nd birthdays are way better than firsts. At first birthdays the birthday kid really doesn't know what is happening. They don't understand what the hype is all about. Now with the second birthday they know what presents are, they understand that cake is good and they know how to eat it. They also start anticipating what is coming up. My niece has been telling everyone this week that it's her birthday. This morning she ran out of the room and yelled "It's my Birthday!" And she could hardly contain herself when it was time to open presents. Of course she also didn't want to share her presents with her cousin Janae either.

Well here are a few pics from today. What kind of Aunt would I be if I didn't show my nieces off!

This is Kallie's Curious George cake. The whole cupcake cake works great!

Here is Kallie opening one of her presents. I love how they really get into throwing the wrapping everywhere. It annoys me when grown ups don't just rip into the paper. Isn't that the purpose anyway??

Here is Kallie riding on her new tricycle that Grandma and Grandpa gave her. Once she opened that she forgot about all the other presents.

I had to sneak a picture of Janae in here as well. She was having fun playing with Kallie's new Legos.
