Merry Christmas!

Well yesterday we had our families Christmas. It was wonderful. Everyone was there except my brother and his family, they live out in Georgia. This year was one of the biggest Christmas' we have had for a long time. Not only were there a lot of people and gifts but the gifts were quite large as well. My mom got a new laptop, dad got a 40" LCD Flat Panel TV, and my sister got a new car.

However I think I got the best gift of all. I have been joking with my sister that she needs to invite a single guy to their New Year's Eve party so that I wouldn't be the lone single. So she took it upon herself to get me a "Man" for Christmas. We were joking that I should make an "epic film" of the adventures of Kelly and Ken. So keep you eyes open there might be a few surprises in the future.

Another funny thing about our Christmas celebration is how my sister decided that she was going to host our gather at her house this year. Yet I was the one who ended up cooking everything but the ham and sweet potatoes, which my mom and brother brought. Of course I am not complaining I love to cook and the best part is she had to clean up!! And in the process of cooking this year I had a little help from my niece Kallie. She was Aunt Kelly's girl all day yesterday!

In the midst of cooking I also decided to be a bit creative with appetizers. So feeling festive I created a snowman cheese ball. I can't take credit for the entire idea because I modified a recipe I had found back a Halloween for a goblin cheese ball, but he still turned out really cute. And better than that he tasted really great as well.

It is always so much fun being with my family. I have been so blessed with such an amazing family! So here is a picture of the whole gang. Including my foster sister Amanda. She is pretty cool too! I am just amazed that we all managed to fit on that couch together.
This time of year I am reminded again and again of how much I treasure my family. It makes me imagine just how much more God loves us. He sent his son into this world as a child knowing that Jesus would endure one of the most painful and humiliating deaths anyone could endure. And Jesus did it all willingly because he wanted an amazing redeemed bride unto himself. He is so in love with us that he left his throne in glory for a short time so that we could spend eternity with him in Paradise.
Editors Note: The pictures are a bit fuzzy because my niece decided she needed to take pictures with my camera and she touched the lens with sticky fingers.
