Happy New Year!

Okay so the new year won't actually start for another 2 hours or so but I don't know if I will make it until then. After spending 26 of the last 72 hours in a car I am exhausted and my back is killing me. But I wouldn't change it for the world. I had an amazing time with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, nephews and my niece.

Kallie was an added surprise. When I was leaving my sisters on Thursday night she wouldn't let me leave the house without coming with me. So her parents decided to let her come along. For a 2 year old she rode in the car like a trooper. Of course she was riding in complete comfort as you can tell from the picture. However, after the 4th time through "Curious George" I had to tell her we weren't going to watch it anymore.

While our trip was short we still made time to go to the Georgia Aquarium. I don't know what it is but I love going to the Aquarium. Just watching these amazing animals swimming in the water makes me appreciate God's creativeness. There are so many different kinds of fish and they are all so distinct and colorful.

I also love taking kids to the aquarium. To see those little faces light up as they see these giant fish swimming by them. Sam and Eli had both been there before but this was Kallie's first time to ever see an aquarium. She kept telling everyone that were were going to "go fish."

The two really cool things about the Georgia Aquarium are the Beluga Whales and the huge Whale Shark that they have. I cold have sat for hours and hours and watched the Belugas however there were so many people that I was ready to get out of there. It was so crowed that you had to push your way up to the glass even at the huge viewing areas.

I wasn't very impressed by the aquarium especially since it cost 100 dollars just to get the 6 of us in and Kallie was free. My brother said we need to go when it is not a holiday weekend. It also didn't help that there was the Chick-fil-a bowl across the street that night plus two concerts all happening down town. So maybe I will make it back one day and enjoy it a little more the next time.
