Okay so I have had my weight loss goal for a while now. And I have almost achieved that. I still have about 30 pounds I want to drop. So in order to accomplish that goal by the end of the spring I have decided to add a new goal as well.
My friends JoAnna and Christy have decided that they want to run in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k this April. I decided that I want to do it with them. Two years ago if you told me I would be running in a 5k I would have said you were crazy. However today I find it quite possible and I will accomplish my goals.
So I went to runningplanet.com and printed off a training program for beginning runners and the program for running your first 5k. The two programs together take 14 weeks and I have 17 weeks until the race. I may not finish with a fast time but I am determined to finish.
I will keep you posted on how everything goes. I started my training today with a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. So one day down, however many else to go!!

whoo-hoo!!! We're gonna have one sexy running team!! Wanna geta double cheeseburger afterwards? Just kidding. The mere thought of those two things together gives me a side stitch!
