So last Friday night I was griping about how bored I was and the fact that I didn't want another "Me Night" yet again. So this weekend I decided to do something about it. Now I did still have a "Me Night" however I took myself on a date. I figured why waste a wonderful evening and a good movie just because no one asked me to go with them.
So this afternoon I went to the new mall and shopped for a couple of hours. I had no intention of buying anything until I saw that New York and Company had their jeans on sale for 50% off. Even then I was just going to see if I could fit in a 10 because the last time a tried on a 10 back in September they were to tight. Well to my surprise and joy not only did I fit in a 10 but I ended up buying a size 8. This is the first pair of jeans I have ever purchased that were not a double digit. So that started off my wonderful evening.
Then I went and caught a matinee. I saw "Stranger Than Fiction" it was not what I was expected but it was still a good movie. It is not your typical Will Ferrell movie that is for sure. It is actually a thought provoking film instead.
Afterward I was going to take myself out to dinner but decided that a big salad sounded really good. So I came home fixed a big salad and curled up on the couch with my book "The Last Battle." I have decided that I am going to finish it by Christmas break so I can spend the break reading the 6th Harry Potter book. I have owned it since it came out over a year ago but just haven't sat down and read it yet.
Anyway, the process of tell you all this is just to say that I loved my "Me Night" tonight. It is amazing how just a slight change of perception can make a world of difference.
