Update!

It has now been 3 weeks since I decided to start training to run a 5k in April. The first week went great but then Christmas hit. Not having a treadmill I only managed to run one day out of the last two weeks. However, I am not giving up. When I got back Saturday I just picked up where I left off and am continuing. I had a 4 week difference between my training schedule and the actual race so now I only have a 2 week buffer so that it okay.

I am actually surprised at how strong I have already become in only two weeks. Today was an easy day and I found myself wanting to run more than what I was supposed too. I didn't but it was a good feeling to know I could do more. I am excited about being able to achieve my goals.

I have also decided that I am going to keep my weight loss up until the race. What ever weight I am at by the race that is where I will be happy to stay. I figure if I can run a 5k and feel confident about it that means I am pretty fit.
