I was taking to my sister last night and we were discussing all the really funny things Kallie, my niece, now does. Like if you ask her where the new baby is she will hold up her own shirt and show off her tummy but if you ask where mommy's baby is she will go over and lift up my sisters shirt. Then there is the fact that everything is preceded with the word my, for example she asked her mom last night "You talk to my Aunt Kelly?" So apparently now I belong to her. And then there is fact that she constantly goes around the house singing bits and pieces of songs that she knows. I really think she takes after Aunt Kelly quite a bit.
The one story that really struck me was this. My sister said that Saturday morning they were all sitting at the table eating breakfast and Kallie started singing "Jesus Loves Me." Then all of the sudden she says "I tickle Jesus" and reaches up and tickles the air. Then she broke out in a huge laugh.
It started me thinking that isn't it so amazing that children have such a faith that Kallie could reach up and tickle Jesus just like she tickles her mom or dad. Jesus is that real to her even if she can't see him. And honestly I think her big laugh came from fact that Jesus tickled her back. God wants that kind of an intimate relationship with each and everyone of us. He wants us to just love on Him and allow Him to love us in return. In our family you show someone you truly love them by tickling them and in her 2 year old way tickling Jesus was Kallie's way of showing God how much she loves him.
