Flowers

I love flowers. Well I love getting flowers and taking pictures of flowers, not so much growing them. So today in my random, I should be doing something else but I am distracted by the Internet, time I found an article on flower meanings.



Now we all know that roses mean love. Roses are beautiful and there are so many different kinds yet I tend to be non-traditional when it comes to getting flowers. I like more tropical brightly colored flowers. And those kinds of flowers have pretty interesting meanings in themselves.



The tiger lily for example means " I dare you to love me." What girl wouldn't swoon for such a statement? An amaryllis means "Splendid Beauty" and a bird of paradise means "Joyfulness." These flowers are amazingly beautiful even if you don't know their meanings.

So if you are going to buy someone flowers this Valentine's Day, or as my kindergartner's say Valentime's Day, be creative, think out of the box. And okay this is a shameless plug to get someone to buy me flowers, but hey I think I am worth it. :)
