Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

As it is pouring down rain outside all I can think is that my classroom continues to fill with water! They managed to get the floor dry earlier this week but it keeps raining and the water keeps coming in. Our poor custodians are constantly in there sucking water out. I still haven't gotten everything out of there, mostly because there is no where to put it, but also I just haven't had time. When you only get an hour of planning time a day you can't get much done. I really hope I get settled in and that things can get back to normal soon.

My new room isn't so bad, at least it is dry. Though there are a few snags we have run into already this week. The biggest is, no matter what their age, as soon as the kids walk in I have at least two kids pulling stuff off the shelves or messing with stuff that belongs to the other teacher who's classroom I am taking over. The other thing is that when we do any movement with the songs if it requires moving our feet the CD player skips. I don't know what I am going to do about that yet.

The good news is... I don't have to move in the middle of the year next year. Because of the remodel I will be in my tiny room all next year as well. Though all the extra stuff will be out of there so that will be much better.
