Fun in Eureka!

Jeremy and I went to Eureka Springs yesterday. Our intent was to go hiking on a trial that we found online, though we never found that trail we hada great time. We ended up driving around for quite a while and drove through downtown. It was beautiful as always and Jeremy had never been there before. After driving for a while and realizing we weren't going to find our trail we stopped at the vistor center and found out about Onyx Cave and some trails at a nearby lake.

We decided to go through the Onyx Cave first. It was quite funny and apparently is the oldest touring cave in Arkansas. You get to take yourself through which was pretty cool, and we were the only people there so it was nice too.

Then we headed for Lake Leaterwood. Of course Jeremy decided that we needed to take the hardest trail that pretty much climbed straight up for 300ft! But we made it and it was alot of fun. I was starting to get a bit worried that we weren't going to make it back before dark. Though Jeremy reassured me that we would. The trek ended up taking us almost two and a half hours. The timing however was perfect because we ended up catching the sunset. It was a the perfect end to an amazing day.
